Antique mercantile cast iron scale with two brass plates. Simple elegance in this turn-of-the-century balance scale. The scale is 21" long and 8 1/" high, with a depth of 7 1/2". I have not been able to get the scale to balance at zero, but an owner with mechanical knowledge and talent likely would be able to do so.
