This bowl is in its original packaging. It is made by Japan Silver and is marked as such. The English part of the product insert states that it is silver-plated, non-tarnishing holloware, "Pearl Silver". The Japanese writing, the best I can translate, states, "This product is covered with a thin plastic film on silver plated, so you will not lose a beautiful, elegant gloss peculiar to silver without discoloring like a conventional silver product. Please clean with a soft cloth when cleaning. Please refrain from polishing powder and chemicals.". The bowl is footed, standing 2 1/4" H, and its diameter is 10 1/4". There are a few minor blemishes, maybe manufacturing, on the inside of the bowl. They were undetectable through the camera's eye.
